·         Reconnecting to last week’s workshop using e-mail

·         Distribution of search engine handouts

Goals/Objectives:

·         Learn about various search engines

·         Develop search strategies for using the Internet

·         Build a “webliography”

·         Discuss ways the Internet can be used for instructional use

Tasks and Process:

3:45 – 5:00     

·         Introduction to different search engines

·         Search engine/ search strategy demonstration

·         Work Time: build and save “webliography” on floppy disks around a topic used in your curriculum

5:00-5:15                    

·         Group brainstorm: How can the Internet be used in the classroom and for instructional purposes?

Conclusion:

5:15-5:30        

·         Summary

·         Comments, questions and thoughts

·         Adjourn
