The Manhattan School for Children is a parent choice school dedicated to a progressive, child-centered philosophy of education. Our school values the process of learning and seeks to have active hands-on experiences for the children in all curriculum activities. Technology forms an integral part of all classrooms, as an integrated part of learning. Teaching is focused within a theme-based, multi-disciplinary approach with child as researcher and explorer. The school was selected for the 1997-98 Annenberg Arts Challenge Grant. We will involve all children in an extended Arts for Literacy Program, including Visual Arts, Drama, Dance and Music.
