Robert F. Kennedy Community H.S. was designed in collaboration with the District 25 and Queens High Schools Superintendents in September 1993. Students at RFK are involved in an active learning environment, with an in-class cooperative learning model and a community-based service learning program. Our theme is Community Service, and students who apply to RFK are planning on devoting two years of four hours per week to Community Service. As a New Vision School we draw upon the support of two Superintendencies, and from New Visions For Public Education. A recent upgrade in computer hardware places RFKHS on the cutting edge of computer technology. With June of 1998 marking our third graduating class, the innovative, vibrant personality of our school is still taking shape. |
