The Frederick Douglas Academy is a collaborative between District 5 and the High School Division. We prepare students for college studies. All students must wear uniforms. Our school ranks among the top ten schools in reading and math. Approximately 83% of our 7th and 8th grade students scored at or above the national norm in reading and over a 90% passing rate on the CAT/5 Math examination. Regents courses (High School) in mathematics and earth science are offered to all 8th graders.
